Goals- Is there a connection between your video skills and speech pathology? Do you think any of the things you learn in MeneMAC will be used in the future?
Our Society—Are you sure you would want to live in a society like this? You have to eat whatever food they give you. Even peas and kamaboko? But you won’t eat peas and kamaboko now?!? Will all jobs pay the same? What would make people want to work hard? People will be lazy, because they will be paid the same, no matter what. How will you express your individuality if you have to abide by all those rules? For example, only 1 pet- what if you love animals and want more?
Metaphor Poem—I like the way you described Tigger, then connected it to yourself. You are a happy, bouncy person most of the time. If you tell people you are okay, even if you’re not, is that how life is supposed to be?
Idea Assignment—yup, I’m depressed and think you need to read different kinds of books this summer.
Anticipation Guide—Grandma’s eggplant looked ugly and unappetizing but tasted good. Haha! Good one! Hilarious! I’m glad you tasted it and found out you liked it. It reminds me of “Green Eggs and Ham”. You should do that with peas and kamaboko. All Asians are not smart; your sister and you get Bs and Cs. Haha! But perhaps you need to consider whether grades are true indicators of whether you are smart… what is “smart”? Are all people who get straight As “smart”?
